THE ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and creative individual to become part of a team within a 10 bedded home for adults with complex needs associated with autism.
As the Home Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of the home and its resources and budgets and ensure compliance with the regulatory framework. This will be achieved by ensuring the highest quality of service is provided for the Service Users through their care planning process and that home staff are encouraged and supported to achieve their full potential.

KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
” Effective management of a team, which involves motivating, coaching, managing performance and auditing the quality of care.
” Ensure that relevant quality standards are met and wherever possible exceeded and ensure opportunities are taken to develop and improve practice.
” Understand what quality and good care is in practice, be able to articulate this and act as a role model in demonstrating this in practice.
” Demonstrate a professional manner at all times liked to a caring approach and the ability to relate to staff in a supportive and motivational manner.
” Ensure own and team’s adherence to all policies and procedures and regulatory and legal requirements of the role.
” Support the training and development of your team, particularly QCF (including some support with assessment of work) and mandatory, and the overall team development to ensure the delivery of quality care.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
” Minimum of two years’ experience in a managerial role in a residential home
” Working knowledge of relevant up to date legislation.
” Experience of organisational compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements and best practice
” Able to take responsibility for compliance with health and safety legislation
” Able to use communication and influencing skills to progress complex situations and achieve significant impact
” Able to ensure that the organisation continuously develops and improves services most important to customers
” Experience of identifying good practice & solutions and integrating this into service provided
” Able to identify and put a business case forward in response to the changing needs of the organisation
” Experience of monitoring the processing of data & information
” Able to lead and manage service provision that promotes the well-being of all individuals
” Able to lead practice to reduce and prevent the risk of danger, harm and abuse

REQUIREMENTS:

Registered Managers Award or QCF Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social care for adult residential management level 5 with appropriate units for CSSIW or Level 4 LMCS

” Eligibility to work within the UK

” Satisfactory Enhanced DBS with barred list checks
” Be able to meet the demands of what can be physically challenging work at times.
” Be able to work within a rota pattern including unsocial hours and weekends. Depending on the service this may include a combined rota of day and waking night working.
” Depending on the location/nature of some Provisions the role may require a full valid driving licence.
