THE ORGANISATION:

Our Client provides high quality Residential, Nursing and Dementia Care. All of our client’s homes are led by experienced nurse qualified Managers and each Manager has established a close- knit team which provides a resident orientated, needs led service. They support around 350 residents and each one has an individual care plan, tailored specifically to meet each resident’s preferences and needs.

This site has a history of providing care extending over 40 years, it is a well-established and popular choice for care in Kidderminster and has attained the Dementia Care Standards award for the past 3 years running. This site specifically provides dedicated Palliative or End of Life Care. All Nurses are trained to provide the additional support and interventions that may be required at this time.

They are committed to providing the highest possible standards of care to residents with their philosophy being to provide a friendly, homely atmosphere where residents are enabled to live as normal a life as possible given their physical and/or mental disabilities. Residents are encouraged to contribute to their own care planning and staff respect their choices and diversity and maintain their dignity at all times.

THE ROLE:

You will assist with essential aspects of care, i.e. washing, dressing, bathing, serving meals, feeding residents, moving and handling, meeting their health and social care needs, working closely with family members and other healthcare staff. Enable residents to achieve independence as far as possible in all areas of their life. A full induction will be given which includes all mandatory training.

You will be dedicated and passionate about helping people and have a real interest in improving the lives of others. Empathy with the elderly together with listening skills are vital. You will provide a superior standard of care in secure, relaxing and homely surroundings. Also, providing privacy, dignity, choice and encourage independence. Whilst supporting and maintaining a person centred care environment and promoting self-esteem.

You must be able to demonstrate you can work as part of a team as well as an ability to work independently. For the right candidate, this will be both a rewarding and satisfying job.
