The home specialises in nursing, personal and palliative care for older people, received an accreditation award in 2010 and continues to work with the Gold Standards Framework for Care Homes.

THE ROLE:
Delivery of business performance and quality targets for a specific care centre. Provide support and leadership to the Care Centre Staff, engendering a culture of customer focus and quality of service. Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders.
o Ensure that all audits are carried out as specified by Head Office
o Ensure that quality standards are maintained and drive for continuous improvement at all times
o Effectively manage Care Centre Staff through coaching, mentorship and development to inspire, motivate and lead the team, dealing effectively with performance issues when they arise.
o Deliver optimum operational efficiency and cost effectiveness within the Care Centre.
o Effectively monitor the care planning and on-going evaluation of care
o Adhere to, and implement, all HR policies and procedures
o Actively market the Care Centre and promote a positive personal professional profile within the local community, ensuring the good reputation of the Care Centre at all times.
o Ensure compliance with the CQC/Care Commission regulatory requirements. Prepare draft response to CQC/Care Commission Inspection Reports for approval by responsible Individual prior to issue.
o In conjunction with the Area Manager and Service Quality Advisor, effectively investigate and act on any complaints received in the Care Centre in a timely manner.
o Control the ordering and administration of drugs within the Care Centre and maintain the necessary records as and when required by the regulatory authorities.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
o Desirable: 1st Level Nurse (Nursing Care Centre) or NVQ level 3 in Care of the Elderly (Residential Care Centre)
o Leadership and Management Award or equivalent (achieved/ working towards)
o Care for the elderly experience/ qualification desirable
o Broad experience of managing people, service and quality to achieve performance targets
o Must demonstrate a caring/ service ethos; ideally come from a Health and Social Care Sector background.
o Comprehensive understanding of commercial principles and practices.
o Good understanding of P&L structure and budget management.
o Excellent ability to build lasting relationships

o Excellent time management and organisational skills, and ability to work on own initiative.
o Demonstrates a high level of personal integrity towards providing a high standard of service
o Satisfactory DBS Check
