THE ROLE:
We have an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate, caring and want to make a difference to people’s lives. You will assist the team, playing an important role in the daily routine of the service users, with a focus on dignity and safety at all times.

On-going assessment and high staffing levels, based on a minimum ratio of one staff member to two service users, means that we are able to meet the changing needs of service users as they progress through their care pathway, while ensuring their safety is maintained and their independence supported. Regular review meetings involving the service user, their family and professionals are held to review outcomes, set new goals and re-assess support levels as people progress.

The management and staff team have comprehensive training, including all mandatory training and bespoke training specific to the needs of the residents, this includes CIS, safeguarding, food safety, first aid, MAPA, mental health, mental capacity and record keeping.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

You will be dedicated, caring and passionate about helping people; having a real interest in improving the lives of others.

Whilst an NVQ level 1 or 2 in a relevant care setting is preferable, it isn’t a necessity. A good level of literacy and numeracy skills will be necessary, but also a drive to develop your knowledge and skills to ensure you are constantly providing the best quality care for services users and a high-level knowledge base / support system to your team. Whilst also being able to demonstrate the ability to effectively deal with a range of challenging situations, bringing with you a strong mental aptitude meeting the demands of the role.

They’ll give you the training you need to start helping people straight away. Yes, it can be a challenge working with people who have mental health problems. But you can make a real difference on their road to recovery. It’s hugely rewarding.
