THE ROLE:

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, self-motivated Teacher of Computer Science and Mathematics in a specialist hospital setting/CAHMS unit for young people aged 7-19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger syndrome and associated learning difficulties including ADHD, ODD, OCD and clinical anxiety/depression.

The successful candidate will have responsibility for teaching a 50/50 commitment to Maths and Computer Science. It is essential you have sufficent subject knowledge to be able to teach Computer Science and Maths to GCSE and A level.

This is an excellent opportunity for an NQT teachers as well as experienced teachers from mainstream, specialist education or community provision who are looking to move into a hospital specialist setting.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:

  • Have strong Maths and Computer Science knowledge to teach both GCSE and A Level.
  • Hold QTS
  • Be an NQT or experienced teacher.
  • Preferably have with some experience of teaching students with a diagnosis of autism.
  • Be able to deliver outstanding teaching and learning with support from an LSA.
  • Have a sound understanding of the current legislation and statutory regulations relating to educational and care and a detailed knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Be Passionate, enthusiastic and self-motivated.
