We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated experienced occupational therapists to join our highly regarded Virgin Care Rapid Response Service and can offer either full or part time hours.

Based on the St Peters Acute Hospital site just of Jct 11 of the M25, we provide responsive community services to patients across the beautiful Thames and surrounding regions. We also provide an In Reach service to Accident & Emergency supporting acute hospital admission avoidance.

Working in our Multi-Professional team you will provide advanced levels of therapy practice to assess, treat and prescribe rehabilitation packages of care to support patients in their own environment and preventing unnecessary acute hospital admissions.

Although expected to work autonomously you will not be alone, the team is supported by a clinical service manager, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Team Leader Physio and Occupational therapists. You will work alongside, GP’s Physiotherapists, Community nursing and Social Care practitioners as well as acute hospital staff.

In this challenging role you will provide a holistic approach by:

Assessing, stabilising, treating and managing patients in their own environment
Independently assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment / interventions and care for patients with attention to physical, emotional, social, cultural and mental health issues.
Providing support such as advice, guidance and training on professional therapy issues, and taking part in clinical governance , using reflective practice, research, audit and clinical supervision
Work in a collaborative and integrated manner with other stakeholders to ensure a seamless service delivery

Flexible approach to work with the ability to work across a seven day service.
Advanced physical Assessment skills
Open to new ideas and training
Have access and use of a car with ability to work across different locations
